Task-Scam Operator Loses More Than 60 Bitcoin in Ledger Theft

A task-scam operator lost more than 60 Bitcoin (BTC), worth about $4.8 million, when thieves emptied three Ledger addresses holding the proceeds during the October wallet theft. The funds were moved into the three addresses on Sept. 22. On Oct. 9, each address was emptied in one transfer, with all three transfers going to the same wallet. The task scam paid people to post fake sales and reviews for real products. A negative balance later appeared, and victims were told to add their own money to receive payment.
