Crypto Ownership by Gender Statistics 2026: The Gender Gap in Numbers

Women own roughly 39% of all cryptocurrency worldwide. Men hold the remaining 61%. That split comes from Triple-A, which estimates about 560 million total crypto holders globally. In raw numbers, that is approximately 218 million women and 342 million men in the global crypto market. It works out to about two female owners for every three male owners. But 39% is a high-end estimate. Gemini’s 2024 survey of 6,000 adults across five countries found women at just 31% of owners.
