Google introduced Gemini for Government Services on Oct. 20 as a preview for U.S. agencies, bringing AI agents to document intake, public records work, procurement and grant spending reviews. The service is designed for federal, state and local governments. During application reviews, an agent can compare information in W-2 forms, pay stubs and leases, then flag inconsistent figures or missing signatures for an employee to examine. For Freedom of Information Act requests, agents can search for relevant records and suggest redactions for staff review.
