Kamino Makes CCIP Collateral Eligible for Higher Borrowing Limits

Kamino has made cross-chain collateral secured by Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) eligible for higher borrowing limits and loan-to-value ratios, tying credit terms on the Solana lending protocol to transfer security. The decision followed a security review. Kamino now uses CCIP as a standard for assessing the risks of collateral moved between blockchains. Assets protected by the protocol can qualify for higher limits across Kamino markets. A loan-to-value ratio describes the share of a collateral deposit a user can borrow. Raising that ratio increases the amount available against the same deposit, giving borrowers more credit capacity without increasing their collateral.
