CoinDCX said funds belonging to active users remain safe. The loss is tied to the exchange’s sweeping process, which was intended to move customer deposits out of the wallet. That transfer did not occur, leaving the deposits there when the wallet was hacked in July 2025. CoinDCX said it would bear the loss itself. The confirmed amount is $16 million.
