Anthropic ’s seven cofounders have pledged to donate 80% of their personal stakes in the AI company to philanthropy, an amount estimated at $79.4 billion. While the pledge is significant, it is voluntary and non-binding, leaving the cofounders with substantial voting power through a founder-controlled Class F share. The announcement comes amid Anthropic’s transition from a private AI lab to a public company, following its recent $65 billion Series H round that valued the company at $965 billion.
