The digital identity project built by Tools for Humanity expands into financial services and rolls out its video verification tool broadly. World has released a new World ID offering built specifically for banks, according to reports from The Block and CryptoBriefing. The launch extends the company's biometric identity system beyond its original consumer and crypto-focused use cases into regulated financial services. World ID is the identity layer of the World network, built by Tools for Humanity. The system relies on iris-scanning hardware, known as the Orb, to generate a unique digital credential tied to a verified human.
