PORTLAND, OR – Seven of Oregon’s nine federally recognized tribes have signed formal Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Travel Oregon, the first agreements of their kind between the tribes and the state tourism commission. The agreements support efforts to promote and develop tourism on tribal lands in Oregon. The agreements build on several years of collaboration between Travel Oregon and the tribes. Working with the Tribal Tourism Working Group, Travel Oregon published the Travel Guide to Oregon Indian Country in 2023 and an updated Experience Indigenous Oregon travel guide in 2026.
