ZKsync’s new prover keeps pace with Ethereum using one graphics card instead of a GPU cluster. Vitalik Buterin says the speed race is over and the next fight is about proving these systems are correct. Nothing changes on Ethereum yet, and there is no date for adopting this technology. The ZK token has more than doubled since August, but the prover gives holders no direct revenue. In mid-2025, the fastest systems for proving an Ethereum block in about 12 seconds needed somewhere between 50 and 160 graphics cards.
