AI agents running continuously will need a way to establish accountability and public trust, VeChain co-founder and CEO Sunny Lu said in an interview Wednesday, arguing that blockchain could provide the records behind that system. “The perfect solution is a blockchain,” Lu said. He outlined a model in which each agent carries a digital passport and a record tracks the reputations of both the agent and its creator. In his view, those records could help make agents’ activity accountable. Smart contracts could settle transactions between agents or between an agent and a person.
