ALTA Performance Materials Agrees to Buy BASF’s Palatal Business in Chile

ALTA Performance Materials announced Nov. 5 that it had agreed to buy BASF’s Palatal operation in Chile, a deal that would expand its manufacturing footprint in South America. Palatal’s products include vinyl ester resins and unsaturated polyester resins. The business supplies customers in construction, mining, aquaculture, transportation and industrial markets.
