Vanguard ETF Discloses 4.5 Million-Share Metaplanet Position

Vanguard’s small-cap ETF VSS disclosed a 4.5 million-share position in Metaplanet (3350.T), a Bitcoin (BTC) treasury company, giving the fund indirect exposure to the cryptocurrency through its equity holding. VSS first disclosed a purchase of 4.5 million shares, valued at $7.5 million. Vanguard manages $13 trillion in assets and is the world’s second-largest asset manager.
