UK authorities have imposed sanctions on five crypto and payment service providers accused of helping Russia circumvent international financial restrictions. The move aims to disrupt alleged illicit financial channels, with the government freezing the companies’ UK-based assets and prohibiting any transfers to these entities by individuals or businesses in the country. The United Kingdom targeted Cryptomus, Heleket, TokenSpot, Tsunami Payments, and Processing KG, reporting that these platforms served as conduits for Russian entities seeking to evade sanctions. Government action included asset freezes and explicit restrictions against UK residents and firms sending funds to these companies.
