BitTorrent Publishes Transaction Hash for First Quarterly BTT Burn

BitTorrent published a transaction hash for its first quarterly burn of BitTorrent (BTT), giving the Oct. 16 transfer a specific public reference under its revenue-funded buyback program. On Oct. 18, the company identified 4d9596617780e329bbd4e644ee0dffd780ec4cf3749f324d03eb98157eb04ae5 as the hash for the transfer. It valued the tokens involved at about $7.6 million. The hash adds a transaction identifier to the previously announced first BTT burn and three-part infrastructure plan . That plan combines peer-to-peer content delivery through BitTorrent Mainnet, decentralized computing through BTTInferGrid and cross-chain settlement through BTTC. BitTorrent announced its quarterly buyback-and-burn program on July 6.
