President Donald Trump said Friday he had “always felt it was a little bit dangerous” to move money digitally, and said he did not know whether North Korea was behind Binance’s $6.3 billion hack. Asked at the White House about North Korean responsibility, Trump said, “We don’t know. We’re looking at that.” He also said Binance had told him it would cover customer losses and had the situation largely under control. Binance said an attack on its hot wallet caused about $6.3 billion in token losses. The exchange placed the attack at 4:05 p.m. ET Oct. 29.
