[Today's won] Dollar-won closes at 1,335.1, lowest this year

The dollar-won exchange rate closed 7.7 won lower from the previous session at 1,335.1 won, marking its lowest level so far this year. In the Seoul foreign exchange market on Oct. 12, the dollar-won rate stood at 1,335.1 won as of the 3:30 p.m. close, down 7.7 won from the previous trading day. The session opened at 1,341.0 won, 1.8 won below the prior close. The current rate is at the year's low, within a 2026 range between 1,335.1 won and 1,555.8 won. Compared with 1,478.5 won on July 17, three months earlier, the rate is lower by 143.4 won.
