The Oct. 27 agreement brings selected Vataga Drone designs and engineering staff into Swarmer’s autonomous-platform business, subject to closing. The portfolio includes first-person-view drone airframe designs, initiation electronics, ground-control equipment, development tools and manufacturing documents. The agreement uses cash and equity, but Swarmer has not disclosed its value, the split between the two forms of payment or an expected closing date. Once the transaction is complete, Vataga CEO Maksym Melnyk and 14 hardware R&D staff are expected to join Swarmer. Melnyk is expected to become vice president of hardware and report to Swarmer President and U.S. CEO Alex Fink.
