The British banking group moves to fully own the crypto custody platform it helped launch, expanding its digital asset footprint. Standard Chartered has signed a deal to acquire Zodia Custody, according to reports from Fintech News Singapore and Crypto News Australia. The move would see the London-headquartered bank take full ownership of a digital asset custodian it helped establish several years ago. Zodia Custody was launched with Standard Chartered as a founding backer, alongside other institutional partners, as banks sought safer ways to offer clients exposure to digital assets.
