Standard Chartered has signed definitive agreements to acquire 100% of digital asset custodian, Zodia Custody, advancing its strategy to expand regulated cryptocurrency services for institutional clients. The transaction, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, will bring Zodia’s regulated custody operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Luxembourg into the bank’s Securities Services business. STABLECOINS | VISA and Standard Chartered Launch Validator Nodes on Stripe-Owned Blockchain, Tempo Financial terms were not disclosed.
