Principal Financial Raises Fourth-Quarter Dividend to $0.85 Per Share

Principal Financial Group raised its fourth-quarter 2026 cash dividend to $0.85 per common share, adding a cent from the prior quarter and setting payment for Dec. 18. The new rate is about 1.2% above the third-quarter dividend of $0.84. Principal said the payment is 8% higher than in the fourth quarter of 2025 and 7% higher over the trailing 12 months. Shareholders of record Dec. 2 will receive the dividend. Principal announced the increase Oct. 26 alongside its third-quarter results.
