Musk Says Robots Will Consume More Memory Than All Computing Devices on Earth Combined

Musk said robots would use more memory than all computing devices on Earth combined, as Meta expanded AI work with Nvidia and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) weighed a CoWoS packaging price increase. Musk also said robots would use low-power DRAM chips instead of high-bandwidth memory (HBM). Meta announced an expanded collaboration with Nvidia on Muse models. The expanded collaboration also includes Nvidia’s OpenShell Reference Architecture for AI-agent security; Meta plans to expand Vera Rubin cluster deployment. TSMC was considering a 10% to 20% increase in prices for its CoWoS advanced packaging services.
