Nine U.S.-listed companies have filed formal objections that block tokenized versions of their shares from trading on OKXICE, the tokenized securities venue run jointly by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent of the New York Stock Exchange, and crypto exchange OKX. The objections appear in an Oct. 15 public notice from OKXICE , and they offer the clearest test yet of the opt-out safeguard written into the SEC’s temporary framework for tokenized stocks — a direct measure of whether third-party tokenization of U.S. equities can scale without issuer consent. The list spans chipmakers, telecoms, insurers, cloud infrastructure and aerospace.
