Lido Direct Staking Lets Users Stake ETH From Four Layer 2s

Lido’s direct staking route lets users stake Ether (ETH) from Arbitrum, Base, Linea or Optimism, with wrapped staked ETH (wstETH) delivered to the starting network without manual bridging. Under the liquidity-pool option, a local pool supplies the wstETH users receive. Their ETH moves to Ethereum for staking, and wstETH later returns to replenish the pool. Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) carries the instructions and transfers between networks. Simon Yoon reports on blockchain technology for TokenPost.
