KB Projects Samsung, SK Hynix Operating Profit at 2.1 Times 26-Year Total

KB Securities expects Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix to generate 1,571 trillion won in operating profit across 2026 and 2027, a two-year projection that is about 2.1 times their combined total for the previous 26 years. The companies earned a combined 748 trillion won from 2000 through 2025. The comparison puts the forecast for the next two years against their cumulative operating profit over a much longer period. For 2027, KB Securities projects operating profit of 555 trillion won at Samsung, up 51% from 2026. It estimates SK Hynix will post 389 trillion won, a 50% year-over-year increase.
