Iran’s Supreme Leader Orders Response to Threats Anywhere

Iran’s supreme leader has ordered the armed forces to respond immediately to threats of any form or level without geographic limits, setting a broad mandate for Iran’s military response. At a meeting with senior military commanders, he called for continued combat readiness and described strong force as necessary to maintain maximum deterrence. He said Iran’s armed forces and people would decide when and on what terms a conflict ends if the country faces another military or terrorist attack.
