Instinct's Sept. 28 announcement put the $1 billion Series C at a $10 billion company valuation, four times August's $2.5 billion mark for the San Francisco startup. The San Francisco-based company named Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital and Coatue as investors. Its August Series B raised $250 million at a $2.5 billion valuation and brought total funding to $350 million. The Series C amount is four times the size of that earlier round.
