Project Tembo near Cheyenne would span 716 acres and draw up to 2.7 GW of power, with full completion targeted for 2031 Google is putting $17 billion behind a single patch of southeastern Wyoming. The company’s proposed campus, called Project Tembo, would sit in south Laramie County near Cheyenne. It would be Google’s first data center in the state, and the price tag lands it firmly in big-league infrastructure territory. At its core are four large data center buildings. Together they total around 3.08 million square feet of space.
