Project Spectrum pairs a roughly $5 billion Amazon campus with a 20-year nuclear power deal in Somervell County, Texas Amazon is planning a data center campus near Glen Rose, Texas, on land owned by Vistra. The site sits right next to the Comanche Peak nuclear power plant. The effort, called Project Spectrum, is being led by Amazon Data Services. It covers approximately 435 acres in Somervell County and comes with a projected investment of about $5 billion. The plan calls for up to 18 buildings. They are designed to handle Amazon’s cloud services and artificial intelligence workloads.
