Financial ETF Gains 0.68% as Bank and Insurer Shares Diverge

The State Street Financial Sel Sec SPDR ETF (XLF) rose 0.68%, while financial shares moved in opposite directions and Wall Street ended the week mixed. Globe Life and FirstCash Holdings shares fell after earnings reports. First Citizens Bancshares, Blackstone and UWM Holdings advanced after results or guidance. HSBC shares also declined.
