Figma added 20 new partners to its Model Context Protocol support in an Oct. 15 announcement, expanding how connected AI agents can create and modify work on its design canvas. The MCP improvements are available now. Agents can use design context such as variables, components and layout data, then create code layers, edit Figma Specs and generate images on the canvas. Writing beyond drafts requires Figma’s remote MCP server and a Full seat. MCP is an open standard that connects AI applications with external systems, data and tools.
