NVIDIA expands Earth-2 open models with Europe-focused weather tools

NVIDIA said European researchers and companies are using its Earth-2 open models and tools to build more localized weather and environmental forecasting systems, including a new Europe-focused version of StormScope for short-term cloud prediction. The company said the work is aimed at decisions that depend on local conditions, such as energy operations, shipping, insurance and transport planning. In a post published on 22 Oct. 2026, NVIDIA said StormScope EU is a regional version of the StormScope model trained on Europe weather and climate data.
