Evercore named five technology companies as defensive picks after Democrats took control of the House, saying tighter data center rules could slow development, weaken AI infrastructure sentiment and intensify compute supply constraints. The list includes Amphenol, Arista Networks, Apple, Cisco and Motorola Solutions. Evercore said tighter regulation could also temper memory demand, while developers and cloud companies with existing capacity could benefit if compute shortages worsen.
