Cysic Restores Bridge and Burns 7.2 Million CYS on BNB Smart Chain

Cysic has restored its cross-chain bridge and permanently burned 7,200,002 CYS on BNB Smart Chain in response to an unauthorized token mint. Cysic said the bridge is fully operational and the burn is confirmed on-chain. The project described the destruction as a measure to offset tokens minted without authorization during the security incident. The bridge was attacked Oct. 17, when 10 million CYS were minted without authorization on BNB Chain, Cysic said. The burn took place on BNB Smart Chain, while the unauthorized mint took place on BNB Chain.
