Trafigura will supply Germany’s state-owned SEFE Securing Energy for Europe with 30 terawatt-hours (TWh) of natural gas annually starting Nov. 1, extending the companies’ supply relationship under a new five-year contract. The companies agree on the yearly delivery rate but give different totals for the full term. SEFE lists 150 TWh, while Trafigura describes the volume as more than 150 TWh. Their announcements do not explain the difference. Most of the gas will come from Trafigura’s global portfolio. The agreement follows a four-year contract that ends Oct. 31 and supplied about 23 TWh a year.
