Claude Code Desktop Creator Anthony Morris Leaves Anthropic

Anthony Morris, creator of Claude Code’s desktop version, has announced he is leaving Anthropic after helping develop a visual interface for the company’s coding tool. His departure follows an Oct. 14 update that improved how the tool handles parallel tasks and manages sessions. Claude Code began mainly as a command-line tool. Its desktop version gives users a visual way to manage coding tasks and multiple AI agent sessions, track progress and review code changes. Morris was introducing the Oct. 14 features and said the team would continue refining them based on user feedback.
