Circle Agrees to Proposed $400 Million Tazapay Deal to Expand Payments

Circle has agreed to acquire Singapore-based payments company Tazapay in a proposed $400 million stock transaction, adding cross-border payout infrastructure as the stablecoin issuer pursues expansion into new markets. The companies signed the agreement Sept. 4 and announced it Sept. 8. The deal is expected to close in 2027, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals, including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Consideration is Circle Class A common stock, adjusted for Tazapay debt, transaction expenses and cash.
