Bitwise CIO Says Binance Security Issue Won’t Change Bitcoin (BTC) Outlook

Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan framed the Binance matter as a conventional cybersecurity event, separate from a flaw in Bitcoin (BTC)’s blockchain. He said it would not change Bitcoin’s long-term direction. Hougan said a hypothetical $6.3 billion hack 10 years ago would have been enough to bankrupt Binance. The figure was part of his hypothetical comparison.
