Bitcoin (BTC) climbed above $80,000 and reached $80,082 on Binance spot at 10:23 a.m. ET (14:23 UTC) Monday, putting the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization over the threshold in a direct price reading. Fifteen minutes earlier, at 10:08 a.m. ET, BTC was $79,725 on the same spot market. The two readings place the asset below $80,000 first and above it at the later observation. The price difference between those snapshots was $357. At the 10:23 a.m. ET snapshot, BTC was 0.02% higher than it had been one hour earlier.
