Apple Opens China Beta Linking Qwen With Siri, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence

Apple has opened a developer beta in China that connects Alibaba’s Qwen app with Siri, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence, giving eligible iPhone users access to text and image AI features. For example, Siri can provide general sleep advice, while the Qwen app can analyze sleep records, exercise and lifestyle habits to identify factors affecting sleep and develop an improvement plan. Visual Intelligence can use Qwen to identify objects or scenes; a product search can continue in Qwen, which can look for a matching item on Taobao. In Writing Tools, Qwen can generate text and adjust its tone or length.
