Apple opened a developer preview Tuesday for connecting apps to Siri AI through App Intents, extending the assistant to tasks people can handle inside third-party apps. The preview begins with developer betas of iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 and visionOS 27.3. Developers can use App Intents to make app content and actions available through Siri. Examples include checking a delivery, booking a reservation or placing an order. Apple also introduced “skills,” which can combine several actions into one experience. The Nov. 3 preview is specifically for app integrations.
