Anthropic Outlines Data Center Lease Strategy in IPO Filing

The company outlined the lease and its broader infrastructure strategy in its preliminary IPO filing on Oct. 26. The lease is tied to Broadcom. Payments are due quarterly and typically begin when equipment is ready for service. The agreement cannot be canceled during its term except in the case of default. Anthropic calls the added source of computing “Anthropic Direct.” Third-party partners will procure the real estate, power and facilities, while Anthropic leases the capacity and contracts with specialized operators to manage the sites. The dedicated facilities will complement cloud agreements with Amazon, Google and Microsoft.
