Texas’ environmental regulator has temporarily taken down its electronic reporting system while staff review data-center applications, adding a new development to a state permitting pause tied to grid reliability. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) says its State of Texas Environmental Electronic Reporting System (STEERS) is temporarily down while staff review applications related to data centers.
