Anthropic has signed a long-term lease for the first phase of a planned data center in Point Tupper, Nova Scotia, securing a 95-megawatt site for Claude and its first Canadian data-center agreement. The initial phase is targeted for late 2027. EverWind plans a second stage adding 325 megawatts in 2028, which would bring the campus to 420 megawatts. That expansion remains subject to commercial, technical and regulatory conditions. Required grid studies and approvals must be completed before the planned expansion connects. Provincial system-planning and utility processes are assessing the development’s effects on the grid.
