AMTD Digital First-Half Profit Falls to $42.4 Million as Gains Shrink

AMTD Digital Inc. (NYSE: HKD) posted $42.397 million in unaudited profit for the half-year ending April 30, compared with $51.462 million in the matching period a year earlier. The company released its results Oct. 23. Total revenue fell to $63.826 million from $73.160 million, while revenue from contracts with customers rose to $26.398 million from $25.310 million. Net gains from revaluing financial investments came to $37.428 million, versus $47.498 million a year earlier. Income-tax expense increased to $3.954 million from $811,000.
