A person who demonstrated control of two X accounts named in Trevor Milton’s lawsuit denied any FBI connection, challenging the Nikola founder’s allegation that an agent used them to target him and a potential witness. On Oct. 13, the Nikola founder and former CEO sued FBI Special Agent Christopher S. Essick and Nikola whistleblower Paul Lackey in Utah federal court. The complaint alleges they conspired to intimidate a potential defense witness and that Essick controlled @CntrlScrut1nizr and @lfxs1212. The complaint alleges the accounts criticized Milton and Nikola, discussed bets against Nikola shares and harassed former Nikola executive Jason Roycht.
