Abu Dhabi crown prince meets Sam Altman as four OpenAI agreements are signed

The meeting produced deals spanning government, energy, investment, and education as the emirate pushes to become a global AI hub Abu Dhabi’s crown prince sat down with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman this week, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office. They did more than trade pleasantries. On November 2, 2026, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted Altman and witnessed the signing of four agreements between OpenAI and Abu Dhabi-based entities. The deals cover government services, energy, investment, and education. Together, they give the emirate’s long-running AI ambitions something more concrete than a slogan.
