Spokane Tribe Casino Kidnap Attempt Lands Washington Man Nearly Seven Years in Prison

A Washington state man who dragged his girlfriend by the hair across a casino parking lot and forced her into his truck after she tried to escape has been sentenced to nearly seven years in federal prison. Joseph Parisien, of Colville, received a total of 82 months for an attempted kidnapping at Spokane Tribe Casino in Airway Heights, Wash., in April 2024. U.S. District Judge Rebecca L. Pennell sentenced Parisien Monday, October 5. The term includes 70 months for attempted kidnapping in Indian Country and another 12 months for violating supervised release from an earlier federal conviction.
