The XRP Ledger’s plan to introduce a native lending protocol is still awaiting the necessary validator approval, as a separate system upgrade continues on track for its expected launch this week. As of October 20, voting data indicated that both LendingProtocol and LendingProtocolV1_1 proposals had received support from 19 validators each, leaving them 10 votes short of the 29 needed to proceed. The SingleAssetVault component, which is also fundamental for the lending protocol’s infrastructure, had secured 21 votes. Activation requires amendments to maintain at least 80% validator support for two consecutive weeks.
