A large trader closed five short positions tied to U.S. equity-linked contracts during a Nov. 4 rebound, losing about $220,000 on roughly $17.33 million in combined trading volume. The positions covered contracts linked to SpaceX, Tesla, Amazon, Microsoft and Meta. The trader began shorting SpaceX and Tesla after those contracts had already fallen about 3.6% and 2.7%, respectively, then added positions tied to the other three companies. SpaceX accounted for about $108,800 of the total loss and Tesla for $48,300. The Amazon short lost about $24,700, while the Microsoft and Meta positions lost roughly $21,400 and $16,800, respectively.
