Western Union Taps Noah for Stablecoin Remittance Infrastructure

Western Union has selected Noah, a stablecoin payment infrastructure company, to supply infrastructure for a stablecoin platform across its global remittance network, adding on-chain banking and funding support to a service built around Western Union’s USDPT token. Noah will provide the on-chain banking network for Western Union’s Receiver Redirect service, along with treasury management and licensing support for prefunding, converting and distributing stablecoins. The arrangement covers the infrastructure behind the service, while USDPT is the stablecoin used for transfers. Customers can send money in USDPT at Western Union agent locations.
